Prepare for the Passover 2019

Brethren, after sunset on April 18, 2019, those baptized into the Body of Christ who are able in the Owensboro Church of Jesus Christ, as well as the faithful in other groups of the Church of God, will be observing Passover.

Let us begin to prepare.

Passover will soon be here.

One of the most important spiritual aspects of this glorious holy day is - have you examined yourself and noticed any areas that you need to change!?

Brethren, we are given this annual reminder of our Master's victory over sin that is ours because of His sacrifice.

"But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12) Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13) For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14) how much MORE shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15) And FOR THIS REASON He is the Mediator of the New Covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first Covenant [the Old Covenant], that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance" - Hebrews 9:11-15; NKJV.

By participating in this service, you are expressing your faith in our Savior's death and resurrection unto life on our behalf and the behalf of the whole world! We should follow the example's of the original apostle's, renewing our commitment to let Christ Jesus live within us!

God - throughout His living Word - shows us that through Jesus Christ's death we can be holy and blameless in His sight:

"[I]n the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight" - Colossians 1:22; NKJV.

The Passover service reminds us of Jesus Christ's ultimate sacrifice and His Plan of redemption for all mankind.

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us" - 1 John 1:8-10; NKJV.

Let us confess our sins and CHANGE! Passover will soon be here!
